Homemade Crayons... look beautiful, not so easy to color with

It takes a long time to peel the labels off of a bucket of crayons then chop them up into tiny little pieces, separate the colors, and melt them in muffin tins. You would think after all this effort, the kid would want to color with his new creations. As soon as we plopped them out of the molds, he tried one big, round, multicolored crayon, announced it's awkwardness in size and promptly retrieved his big box of 96 Crayolas. Whatever. We were tying strings, right?

Austen thought this one looked camouflage.

Our attempt at "stick crayons, like the ones in the boxes"
